Hello again hipster lovelies, it has been months since I last updated this blog and I am SO sorry for absence. Many things happened over the course of those few months, some wonderful, some tear-jerking, but I believe everything happens for a reason and now that school's on a long summer break, I promise to update this blog again with my mouth-watering food and travel photos from around the beautiful Harbour City that I now proudly call home, Sydney.
With Christmas is just around the corner (literally), everyone in Australia I know seem to be in frenzy to buy presents for their loved ones! JORD Wood Watches are very unique timepieces that tell a story, and actually helped me to start conversation. It's not happened only once but everytime I wore it out! If you gotta ask me, it does come in handy, especially since I'm a newbie in Sydney and I would always love to make new friends.
So, of all the wood watches range that JORD has, I chose the FRANKIE series in Ebony & Gold and powered by Swiss Movement. Ever since I got my FRANKIE, he's joined me on my various adventures in Sydney, and you can say we have been...inseparable ;)
Anyway, for this special post, I took my new favourite wood watch to one of my favourite cafes in Sydney so far, Cuckoo Callay in the heart of the hipster suburb. I have recommended this place to my friends and all of them have been impressed, so it is absolutely worth checking out! Guests could even bring their furry friends to enjoy brunch here, two, three or four leggeds, are all welcome! (they even have special menu for dogs, very pet and family friendly!)

Cuckoo Callay is a lovely brunch cafe tucked right smac at the entrance of Newtown Railway station, so location / access is not an issue at all. Even if it's a little bit hard to access, the offerings here are well worthy of the effort to get here. I am not exaggerating here, but having walked along busy streets teeming with folks having brunch on weekend mornings, I have come to draw a conclusion that most places simply have similar offerings: avos on toast, poached eggs and coffee. The only variables would most often be other toppings on the toast LOL. What Cuckoo Callay offers however, are more exciting, at least for an adventurous foodie like myself.

My biggest brunch food crush here, has got to be the Bacon Mac Daddy, a deliciously sinful combo of double smoked bacon, bacon mac n cheese, 63 C poached egg, tomato relish and fried shallots, all sadwiched in buttery, crispy-outside / soft-inside croissant! Have I told you it contains 10,000 calories? =P My friends ordered other menu and they're quite delctable as well, but so far, none could beat the flavour combo of Bacon Mac Daddy.
