Elbow Room Gastro Pub @Kemang

I always love hunting for breakfast on Sundays (my only day off in a week). This time round, I laboured my curious tummy at Elbow Room, Kemang, which opens from 8am (on Sundays only) to serve breakfast. The breakfast items are quite standard, there are choices of Indonesian or Western style breakfast at surprisingly reasonable price (range from IDR 18,000 - 55,000).

As I came quite late, it couldn't exactly be considered as breakfast hours, I decided to try the regular menu. To be honest, I didn't dare to put much expectations on the food served at a place that calls itself a gastro-pub. However, I was pleased to be proven wrong by the delicious food I had here. I particularly loved the Chocolate Fondant, which is prepared (baked) when you order it, hence it took longer than usual to serve this dessert. The warm chocolate lava oozing out of the warm cake and it goes into your drooling mouth, together with the vanilla ice cream to create a delish combo! Nothing better than a perfect dessert to end a sumptuous meal.

Verdict: love the quiet Sunday morning here, enjoyed the good food & coffee, attentive service and pleasant atmosphere, appropriate music and quirky interior. I shall rate it 4 out of 5. ;)
