Grand Hyatt Jakarta's signature restaurant, C’s Steak and Seafood, offers a Sunday Brunch that is not quite like other brunch buffet places I have seen...In fact, C's Sunday Brunch specializes in serving assorted types of premium seafood on ice, such as oysters, King Crab legs, tropical lobsters, crayfish, tiger prawns, etc. There's special seafood counter near the restaurant entrance, where all sorts of orange-shelled crustaceans are spread nicely next to each other.
Then right next to the seafood counter, is the gourmet salad section...This is also where you'll find a the foie gras, cooked a la minute. Have you ever found foie gras served at hotel buffet? You could literally request for a piece of foie gras, pan fried to golden crispy outside, but still melting inside, served with the berry jam. Second helpings are a must!

But the seafood cornucopia does not end there, because you will also find grilled seafood at the meat & grill side. As C's is a steak restaurant, you could absolutely count on the steak served here to be nothing less than prime. Assorted meat and cuts such as tenderloin, top sirloin (a more premium cut of tenderloin) and lamb chops are served to your liking (like it more well done? Just ask the helpful chef to sear your cut for a while longer).

But of course, a few slices of great steak only deserve great sides to complement it...and I gotta tell you the truffle mac and cheese from the Western food side is sick! (as in good, too good kind of sick) LOL
And there's even more seafood at the Asian food side, such as Wok Fried mud crab and friends...

But of course for a sweet tooth like me, the dessert section is the one that I've been eyeing for since starting the feast...I bet you can tell my obsession for dessert, based on the number of dessert photos I took...

C's Sunday Brunch is available with non-acoholic beverages, premium wines, beers or Taittinger (each comes with free flow option, for different price - see below for price details)...
I have to admit that the buffet price is higher than the average Sunday Brunch at various hotels in Jakarta, but this is definitely not the most expensive in town. Considering the meat prices have gone up so much and practically everything else in the market, and C's only serve premium produce, as well as organic ingredients sourced from niche local producers and farmers, a price tag of roughly USD 50 per person for a buffet like this is still very reasonable, especially if you're a huge fan of seafood.
