Hellow again perps, it's bern literally ages since i've last updated this blog, and I am terribly sorry because my time's been tightly divided between school (full time), doing school work at home, part time work and commuting. I realize that it takes too long for me to publish a blogpost. So today, i'm attempting to publish a super quick post based on my breakfast this morning. It's about this nice cosy place close to where I'm living not in Sydney. Enjoy!
Oh, how time flies! Didn't realize that i've actually been in Sydney for almost 2 months! And boy is Sydney THAT big! It is so massive that I have to properly plan my trips to avoid waiting ages at the train or bus stations. The public transport system is good, although on weekends it could get quite unpredictable, so I ALWAYS check Google Maps beforehand (i'm not sponsored by Google fyi, but I believe that good things when shared will only multiply in its value, just like happiness :))
So this lovely Sunday morning, I went to visit The Tiny Giant for breakfast just before 10am. It is situated in the corner of Audley Street and Sadlier Crescent in the peaceful Petersham suburb. Ot is located close to Petersham train station, the area where I am currently residing at, so while it is within walking distance for me, it is easily accessible by train anyway.
Lucky that we arrived early because the small place gets busier later on. Another great feature that I like other than the friendly and attentive staff, is that the place has wi-fi!! Unlike in Indonesia, wifi is not such a commonplace feature in cafes & restaurants here.
The menu is quite typically Australian with all day breakfast - toasties (is what they call it here), eggs benny, sandwiches, salads and a few Lunch fares. The menu is not that big, so it won't be too hard to decide. You could also pick from the daily changing display shelf offering a wide range of sandwiches, wraps, cronuts even gluten free cakes to go!
One of The Tiny Giant's most iconic menu is their Famous Belgian Waffles (AUD 16.90), but I had the Kids Waffles (AUD 7.90) which is basically the same, but smaller portion and costs less than half the adult version. It is a beautifully plated thick Belgian waffle (2 pcs) doused generously in thick Caramel and honey, topped with fresh fruits and garnished with eye-popping pink cotton candy. Portion wise, it fills my tummy just nicely. The Eggs Benedict (choice of additional toppings: Ham / Salmon topping).
