Do you know what it feels like to have only Sunday as your day off? I totally do and that's exactly what I have: only Sundays off from work. Therefore, I'm quite particular about how and where I spend my 52 Sundays. Aside from a trip to the gym, a hearty brunch will always be a nice itinerary to slot on Sabbath.
With so many places serving brunch in town, the choices for customers like me is literally endless. But when I feel like staying away from crowded places (read: the shopping malls), but still strategically located in the central business district, and has a lovely interior, I have a name that will pop up in my mind: The Twenty8.
The place is an eclectic mish-mash of macho and feminine. There's a corner near the coffee beast, with colourful chairs, magazines and iron mannequin, whereas the rest of the floor feels a little more macho with frill-less decor and use of dark colours.

The Twenty8, used to be named Pad@28 (the number is because of the address), and with the name change, comes minor change with the menu. I'm not quite sure the reason for the name change, but the interior and concept of the venue remains roughly the same. Well, except that perhaps now it serves brunch menu every weekends. So, without further adieu, let's take a look at the brunch food here...
The Brunch covers pretty standard comfort food, such as Eggs Benedict, Brunch Platter with various toppings from Organic Chicken, Pork Belly, Corned Beef and Salmon, and for the kids menu, there are mac & cheese and Chicken Burrito. But my favourite item is surprisingly the mac & cheese from the kids menu! It's creaminess is just perfect, and the portion is well, for kids, but actually just right to fill my tummy LOL

The Brunch Platters have fixed elements: omelette or scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, a slice of toast, baked beans, tomato and sauteed vegetables, plus the different main item that you desire. My personal favourite was the pork belly, as it was quite lovely, but there were only 2 slices, I wished there were more hahaha...
