Where To Stay in Bandung? Hilton I'd Say!

Among Jakartans' favourite weekend activity is spending the short vacation at our neighbour city, Bandung. Mine is not much different and a few weeks ago, I did just that: spent the weekend in Bandung and stayed at Hilton Bandung, ranked #2 out of 125 hotels in Bandung. Since the #1 hotel is located quite far off, I am positive that Hilton is the best hotel located at the heart of Bandung city. So let me share with you how and why this is so. Beginning from the entrance, the lobby all the way to the top floor, shall we?

Lobby

Concierge, Reception counter for check-in and out, Purnawarman restaurant and Magma Lounge.

This is where guests have their buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Magma Lounge
The (smoking) lounge accessible from lobby level, just have to walk up a 'few' flight of stairs.

5th Floor

Jiwa SPA and indoor gym.

6th Floor

Kids Klub and Kids Kafe, swimming pool and Fresco (restaurant and bar).

Executive Lounge, which is only accessible to guests staying on the top floors.

Rooms

There are several types of rooms and suites available: Deluxe and Executive, each comes with either Queen-sized twin beds or King-Sized double beds.

King Executive Plus Room
If the room has the word "plus", it means the room is bigger than that without and is located at the ends of the aisles of the corridor on each floor. (click on the link to see more photos of the room)

Presidential Suite
On 12th floor, the suite only has 1 bedroom. For more bedrooms in the suite, the room nextdoor is accessible via the connecting door.

After all is said and done, I truly enjoyed the warm and attentive hospitality at Hilton Bandung, the rooms are impeccable and cosy and spacious, the swimming pool is grand and very inviting with those cutely-shaped cabanas. The food? There's something for every preferences here, so everyone will be happy. Plus, the place is 100% kids and family friendly, cute Hillbie is always ready to give you literally big bear hug! Turns out Hilton Bandung is also one of the IT hangout places for the 'richie richs' especially on weekend nights (I saw shiny super sports cars parked snugly at the lobby). A perfect place to stay whether you are on business or leisure, by yourself or with your family. If anyone asks me about where to stay in Bandung, Hilton will be on top of my recommendation list.
