Still in my Hilton Bandung staycation series, in this post, I'd like to share with you a mini oasis hidden in the heart of (now quite as hot as Jakarta) Bandung City. Purnawarman Restaurant, is the name of the all-day-dining restaurant at Hilton Bandung, which means, breakfast is served here, unless you're staying in a high floor room, in which case, you may choose to have breakfast in a quieter and more exclusive Executive Lounge on the 11th Floor.
So, back again to the mini oasis. You must be wondering why I said so? Here's one picture which I hope is more than enough to explain:
Well, yess, still a lot of concrete visible, but the outdoor patio with wooden elements, green shrubs and the pond with flowing water, is lovely to have breakfast at. A good way to breathe fresh clean air after sleeping in air conditioned room all night. Oh, might I give you a spoiler: there's an unofficial 'pet' that roamed in Purnawarman's green patio. The little fury friend liked to brush its body against your leg, so, don't jump up in your seat if you suddenly feel something slithering between your calves haha! No worries though, it is harmless, just make sure you don't feed it.
But besides the green patio, the interior of Purnawarman is equally pleasing to the eyes, with floor to ceiling windows and high ceiling.
Now, on to the stomach business, breakfast buffet at Purnawarman is as good as breakfast at 5 star hotel should be, although it is not as massive as that found in Jakarta. My family was quite impressed with the mie goreng (Indonesian fried noodles), while I was personally smitten with the waffles.
For the price tag and the quality of food served at Purnawarman, I think this is an absolutely good deal. So, I'd recommend you to always book your room with breakfast when staying at Hilton Bandung.
Buffet Prices at Purnawarman:
Breakfast: IDR 157,000 nett /pax (daily)
Lunch: no buffet, a la carte only
Dinner: IDR 187,500 nett /pax (weekdays) | IDR 227,500 nett /pax (Friday - Sunday)
Note: Reservation highly recommended, especially on weekends.
