Still one of my personal favourite Indonesian restaurant serving quality & tasty food with great service, TeSaTe launches special menu package during Ramadhan to reward all of us who had dutifully observed fasting during the day.
Tesate, the more upscale sister of the iconic Sate Khas Senayan, has a total of 3 locations in Jakarta, but I have to say that my faovurite so far is the stand-alone, 3 leveled restaurant in Menteng area. The Menteng location boasts massive and spacious venue as well as several private rooms to choose from, that's perfect for big group gatherings, events, even meetings. This place is an ideal place to take photos, especially during the day, by virtue of its floor to ceiling glass windows.
This 2/3 part of month has buzzed at the speed of lightning. Seriously, where had all do the days gone to? It felt like only yesterday that my friends started fasting and unknowingly, this is already the 15th fasting day! To say that time flies is an understatement of the year! Well, that being said, it's still not too late to share with you the latest Ramadhan menu promotion ongoing at TeSaTe.
TeSaTe has never missed on launching special menus to celebrate every festivities. For example, last Chinese New Year, they launched Nasi Bakmoy, complete with fried sticky rice cake (nian gao) rolls and iced Liang Teh. This time round, TeSaTe launched a (seriously great deal) Ramadhan Set Menu. For IDR 166,000, you're entitled to Nasi Kebuli (Aromatic Rice seasoned with herbs, sweetened with ‘golden’ raisins served with stewed of lamb or chicken), pickled pineapple/crunchy lady finger and succulent fried omelette, Bubur Kolak and a complimentary glass of Wedang Secang (traditional non-alcoholic cocktail, made with 8 ethnic spices to create a truly exotic beverage).

The dishes are available as a la carte too, but if you do the maths, you know which offers a better deal. I love the aromatic yellow rice, and either you choose the lamb or the chicken, both are delish and generously portioned.

Other than the seasonal Ramadhan menu, I often enjoy returning to TeSaTe, either for its Tahu Telor, Chicken Satay, or Mi Goreng. Be warned that almost every dishes I've had here are quite big, so sharing is most recommended.
