Christmas High Tea Buffet at Shangri-la Jakarta Lobby Lounge actually has been around since the official Christmas Tree lighting on 3rd December 2013. I went to try the Christmas High Tea around 2 weeks ago, but I'm only posting this today, as I think this Christmas High Tea Buffet is probably one of the most awesome ways to munch my days until 2014 (counting down! tick tock...).
Silly me did not bring my (proper) camera to the High Tea (#$@$?!), so I am using the photos that my gorgeous friend, Ian, captured. Shangri-la is one of the few places in Jakarta that does high tea buffet (the others being 5 star hotels too). Special for December, the high tea is almost twice the normal high tea price (gasp!), but there are additional varieties of food items offered themed around Christmas. So if you ever missed your lunch, the Christmas High Tea Buffet shall more than make up for a sweet and savoury tummy-filling revenge.
Some of the Christmas themed items are Fruit Cake, Christmas Pudding with Eggnogg sauce, Christmas Hazelnut Yule Log Cake, fruit and nuts nougat and more. Others on the buffet are part of the regular High Tea ensemble, such as Assorted nuts, dried fruits and cheese, Sushi, Sashimi, Smoked Salmon, Sandwiches, Scones with jams and pralines. Quality wise, no more questions asked, it's Shangri-la! So, let's dig-in folks!
